LGBTQIA+ Initiatives and Programs
For many years, the Wellness Resource Center took the lead role in efforts to support gender-identity and sexuality diversity on campus. This included leading a wide range of programming, and acting as the home for Temple's Graduate Extern dedicated to Sexuality and Gender Inclusion. The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equality, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL) has always been a dedicated partner in these efforts.
After careful consideration about how to best serve the Temple community, all LGBTQIA+ initiatives and programs have moved to the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equality, Advocacy, and Leadership (IDEAL). Since summer 2016, LGBTQIA programming, training, and advocacy have been centralized to IDEAL's office. This is inclusive of the Graduate Extern for Sexualty and Gender Inclusion, and the position will relocate from the Wellness Resource Center to the Office of IDEAL. The Wellness Resource Center will remain a commited partner in this work.
As part of these efforts, resources regarding Temple's LGBTQIA+ focused initiatives have been centralized to IDEAL's website. Please visit their page here to learn more and view resources.
