Alcohol & Other Drug

    • Trying to quit smoking? Pennsylvania residents have access to a free, 24/6 smoking cessation hotline for tips to help quit.  

  • NextDistro Philly: nextdistro.org/philly 

    • NextDistro provides free harm-reduction supplies, such as Naxlone, Fentanyl Testing Strips, and syringe exchange programs. Click the link to learn more about accessing these resources and referrals to other harm-reduction organizations in the city. 

Students in Recovery  

  • Saint Joseph’s University - Hawk Hill Campus | 5600 City Avenue  

    • Friday AA Meetings from 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM in Mandeville Hall, Room 123 

    • Saint Joseph’s University has kindly extended an invitation to their Alcoholics – Anonymous group on their Hawk Hill Campus. For more information, please contact TMoran@sju.edu.  

  • Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery Haven | 208 N 35th Street 

    • Philadelphia Collegiate Recovery Haven focuses on young people in recovery. They offer a ten bed co-ed sober living residential community, as well as weekly social support for any college student in Philadelphia.  

    • Saturday All - Recovery Meetings from 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM 

Interpersonal Violence  

  • Lutheran Settlement House

    • LSH offers a comprehensive Bilingual Domestic Violence Program that provides free counseling services for those who have experienced domestic or dating abuse. Additional resources include support groups, housing options, educational programs, and medical advocacy.  

  • Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence (formerly WOAR)

    • This agency offers comprehensive services to individuals who have experienced sexual violence. They offer services that include a 24-hour hotline, counseling, human trafficking prevention and support, educational programs, and legal and medical advocacy.  

  • Philadelphia Sexual Assault Resource Center

    • PSARC meets the forensic and medical needs of sexual assault victims who are 16 years of age and older. The center is staffed 24/7 by on-call, specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who provide forensic rape examinations and evidence collection. PSARC services also include pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, HIV prevention, follow-up care, and more.  

  • Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline

    • The Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline is a 24-hour hotline that can be accessed at any time for crisis intervention, safety planning, resources and referrals. The Philadelphia DV Hotline is free and confidential and can help connect you with other free services in the Philadelphia area including emergency housing, legal services, behavioral health services, and more.  

  • Women Against Abuse

    • Women Against Abuse offers services to those who have experienced domestic and dating violence. Services include housing options, legal advocacy, economic empowerment, counseling, and educational programs. 

  • Congreso de Latinos Unidos

    • The Domestic Violence Program with Congreso is a free, confidential, and voluntary counseling and advocacy program for victims and survivors of domestic violence. Services include crisis and walk-in clients, individual and group counseling, housing assistance, and more. 

  • Courdea

    • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Courdea is an intervention, treatment, training, and education program working to stop harmful behavior and intimate partner violence. Courdea provides therapy for people who have been physically or emotionally harmful towards their partners. 

Mental Health 

  • City of Philadelphia DBHIDS  

    • The Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services serves the people of the City of Philadelphia across a continuum of experiences and supports. 

  • Health Minds Philly  

    • Offers resources and tools to change well-being for Philadelphia residents. 

  • NAMI Philly 

    • An organization of families, friends and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness, working to bring support groups and services to the community.   

Sexual Health 

  • Bebashi: Transition to Hope 

    • Bebashi offers free HIV, STI, and pregnancy testing at their clinic in the Spring Garden neighborhood, as well as locations throughout the city. They also offer a free, mail-order HIV testing kit you can do in the comfort of your own home.  

  • Galaei 

    • Galaei provides access to free HIV self-test kits. They also collaborate with community-based organizations to provide support for QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous People of Color) through workshops and referrals to resources. 

  • Philadelphia Department of Health 

    • The Department of Health offers free, confidential HIV and STI testing and treatment at Health Center 1 (1930 S. Broad St., 2nd floor, 19145). Additional services include access to PrEP and PEP, HIV prevention medication. Walk-ins are welcome. 

  • Philadelphia FIGHT 

    • Philadelphia FIGHT offers gender affirming care, HIV and STI testing and treatment, and reproductive health services. Services are available at health centers throughout the city. 

  • Planned Parenthood 

    • The Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center on Locust Street provides many sexual health services. This Planned Parenthood location offers reproductive health testing, services, and referrals, various birth control options, HIV and STI testing and treatment, emergency contraception, and gender affirming care.
